José María Montserrat Aguadé holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona. He participated in the Comprehensive Management Program at the Austral University and trained as a Project Manager at the International Institute for Learning.
He started his career at Repsol in the Tarragona Industrial Complex in 1992. He held various positions and took on responsibilities in Reliability, Shutdowns, Maintenance, and Engineering.
In 2011, he joined Petronor as Director of Engineering and Maintenance, later becoming Director of Production in 2016. In 2020, he was appointed Director of Engineering and Development of the Cartagena Industrial Complex, and in 2021, Director of Reliability and Maintenance of the integrated Tarragona Refining and Chemical Complex.
In 2024, he moved to Madrid after being appointed as the Director of Advanced Processes. He is responsible for industrializing and scaling technologies that enable the automation of Repsol's industrial complex activities. This is achieved through the development of a roadmap that helps transform work processes efficiently and safely, using the latest available technologies.
